ABOUT
Whether you need CPR certification for your job, to meet school requirements, or for personal preparedness, Arkansas has accredited training centers offering American Red Cross, American Heart Association, and ASHI classes. Most classes include hands-on skills practice and take between 2–6 hours to complete. Certifications are typically valid for two years.
STATE LAW
Arkansas is one of the states that requires teachers to maintain Adult, Child, and Infant CPR, AED, and First Aid certification following national AHA guidelines. High school students have been required to receive hands-on CPR training before graduation since the 2014-2015 school year. Licensed childcare facilities must ensure staff hold current pediatric CPR and First Aid certifications with hands-on verification. Dental professionals must maintain Healthcare Provider level BLS certification. Both the American Red Cross and American Heart Association are accepted, with standard two-year renewal periods.
