Managing contract templates

Create, edit, and manage reusable contract templates.

Templates let you save time by reusing contracts. Create a template once, then create new contracts in seconds.

How to create a template
  1. 1Create a contract (see "How to create a contract").
  2. 2Once you're happy with it, click Save as Template.
  3. 3Give the template a name (e.g., "Standard Group Training Agreement").
  4. 4Optionally add a description and category.
  5. 5Click Save.

How to use a template
  1. 1Click + New Contract.
  2. 2Choose "Use a Template".
  3. 3Select the template you want.
  4. 4Click Create from Template.
  5. 5Edit any parts you need to customize.
  6. 6Save as Draft.

Editing and managing templates

Go to Admin → Contract Templates to view, edit, or delete your templates.

  • Edit — Click a template to change its name, description, or body text.
  • Duplicate — Copy a template to make a similar one.
  • Delete — Remove a template you no longer use.
💡
Tip: Use variable placeholders ({{org_name}}, {{amount}}, etc.) in your templates so they auto-fill when you create a new contract.
ℹ️
Note: Editing a template does not change contracts that were already created from it. Only new contracts created from the template will use the updated text.
