Managing classes

Create, edit, and manage CPR classes — from publishing to completion and certification.

Classes are the core of your business. From the Classes section you can create new classes, manage rosters, check students in on the day, and issue certifications when class is complete.

Creating a new class

How to create a class
  1. 1Click Classes in the left sidebar.
  2. 2Click the + New Class button in the top right.
  3. 3Select the certification type (e.g., CPR/AED, BLS, First Aid).
  4. 4Choose a location and instructor.
  5. 5Set the date, start time, and duration.
  6. 6Enter the class capacity and price.
  7. 7Add any intake questions if you need additional information from students at booking time.
  8. 8Click Save as Draft to save without publishing, or Publish to make the class bookable online.

Class list and filters

The class list at /admin/classes shows all classes. Use the status filter tabs to view classes by status.

StatusWhat it means
DraftSaved but not visible to the public yet
PublishedLive and bookable online
CompletedClass is done, certs have been issued
CancelledClass was cancelled, students were notified

Switch between List view and Calendar view using the tabs at the top of the page. Calendar view shows a monthly calendar with classes as events.

Managing a class on the day

Day-of class workflow
  1. 1Open the class from the Classes list or your dashboard.
  2. 2Click the Roster tab to see who is registered.
  3. 3As students arrive, click Check In next to each student's name.
  4. 4If a student does not show up, click No Show.
  5. 5After class, click Complete Class to trigger certification issuance.
  6. 6Review the post-class summary showing attendance, certifications issued, and survey score.

Cloning a class

To quickly create a similar class, open an existing class and click Clone Class. This copies all settings (cert type, location, instructor, pricing) to a new draft class with a blank date — just update the date and publish.

Exporting for Red Cross

After completing a class, click Export Roster on the class detail page to download a CSV formatted for American Red Cross reporting. This includes student names, emails, and certification details.

💡
Tip: Use Class Templates (under Admin → Templates) to pre-configure common class setups. Templates save the cert type, location, instructor, price, and intake questions so you can create recurring classes in seconds.
ℹ️
Note: Only Published classes are visible to the public. Draft classes are invisible to students. You can publish a class at any time by clicking Publish on the class detail page.
