How to create a contract
Create a new contract from scratch or use a template.
Contracts let you get digital signatures on agreements with organizations and clients. You can create a contract from a template or write a custom contract.
How to create a contract
- 1Click Contracts in the left sidebar.
- 2Click + New Contract.
- 3Choose to start from a template or write custom text.
- 4If using a template, select the template from the dropdown.
- 5Enter the contract title (e.g., "Group Training Agreement").
- 6Edit the contract body if needed — you can use variable placeholders like {{org_name}} and {{amount}} which will auto-fill.
- 7Click Save as Draft.
Using variables in contracts
Variables let you customize contracts automatically. When you send a contract, variables will be replaced with the actual values.
Common variables
- {{org_name}} — Organization name
- {{amount}} — Contract amount (formatted as currency)
- {{date}} — Today's date
- {{start_date}} — Class or service start date
- {{end_date}} — Class or service end date
- {{contact_name}} — Organization contact person name
- {{contact_email}} — Organization contact email
💡
Tip: After you create a few contracts, save the most-used ones as templates. Templates let you create future contracts much faster.
ℹ️
Note: Draft contracts are private and not yet sent to anyone. You can edit them anytime before sending.
