Deals and sales pipeline

Track B2B group training requests from first contact through payment using the deals pipeline.

The Deals pipeline is your built-in CRM for B2B group training sales. Every group training inquiry becomes a deal that moves through stages from first contact to paid.

Pipeline stages

StageWhat it means
Initial QuoteNew inquiry — you have made first contact
Agreed & ScheduledTraining date and scope are agreed upon
Ready for BillingClass is complete, ready to invoice
Awaiting PaymentInvoice sent, waiting for payment
PaidPayment received — deal is won
Closed LostDid not convert — deal is lost

Kanban vs list view

The Deals page defaults to Kanban view — columns of cards by stage. Switch to List view for a sortable table of all deals. Both views show deal value, organization, and last activity date.

Creating a deal

How to create a deal manually
  1. 1Click Deals in the left sidebar.
  2. 2Click + New Deal.
  3. 3Select or create the organization.
  4. 4Choose the deal stage.
  5. 5Enter an estimated value.
  6. 6Assign to yourself or another user.
  7. 7Click Save.
  8. 8Open the deal to add line items, attach a quote, or link a class.

AI-created deals

When a visitor submits a group training inquiry through the AI chat widget on your website, the system automatically creates a draft deal. You will see it appear in the Initial Quote column with a "From AI Chat" label. Open the deal to review the AI-extracted details: organization name, number of participants, certification type, and preferred date.

Moving deals between stages

In Kanban view, drag a deal card from one column to another to change its stage. In list view, open the deal and change the Stage field. The deal log records every stage change automatically.

Deal detail

From a deal's detail page you can

  • Add line items (training sessions, instructor fees, materials)
  • Create or attach a quote to send to the customer
  • Link a class that was scheduled for this deal
  • Link an invoice when it is time to bill
  • Log calls, emails, and notes in the activity log
  • Set a close date and probability
💡
Tip: Use the AI intake chat to capture group training requests automatically. When set up correctly, inquiries from your website create deals without any manual data entry.
