Using the admin Claude chat panel
The AI assistant that lives in the right sidebar — ask it questions, run safe reads, request writes that go through approval.
Every admin page has a Claude chat panel. Press Cmd+J (Mac) or Ctrl+J (Windows) to open it — a 440-pixel-wide sidebar slides out from the right. Press Esc or the same shortcut to close it.
What Claude can do
Available tools
- Read tools — "show me this class," "find bookings for this student," "look up deal #1234" — answered immediately against your tenant data.
- Write tools — "draft a quote," "create a deal note," "assign a task" — these go through the autonomy gate and may require your approval depending on the setting.
- Multi-step reasoning — Claude can chain tool calls. Ask "what classes next week need more registrations?" and it will search, rank, and summarize.
How approvals work
Each write tool has an autonomy level set by the system admin: Off (Claude cannot use it), Ask (you approve each call), Act with review (Claude acts but logs to the inbox), or Auto (Claude acts silently). Defaults live under Settings → Claude and can be overridden per tool. When approval is required, the tool card inside the chat shows an Approve / Reject button.
Conversations persist
Every chat is saved. Click the conversations icon in the panel header to browse prior sessions. Conversations are tied to your user account and scoped to the tenant you are currently working in.
